Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy - Grape
What it is
Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy is an anytime blend of amino acids with around 100mg of natural caffeine per serving to support energy, focus and recovery. It is light and refreshing, ideal before a workout or as a daily pick-me-up. This tub in Grape provides about 30 servings. Contains caffeine; Avoid taking it late in the day.
The classic non-electrolyte Amino Energy in grape - a straightforward sweet flavour and the simplest version of the formula.
Who it's for
Anyone wanting a light caffeine and amino drink for short indoor sessions, or as an alternative to an afternoon coffee, in a familiar grape flavour.
How to use it
Mix one to two scoops with water.
Worth knowing
Caffeine-containing, so not for under-18s, during pregnancy, or in the evening. It has no electrolytes either, so it is not the one to rely on for hot-weather or long-duration training.
Our take
This is the original Amino Energy without the added electrolytes - same aminos and roughly 100mg of natural caffeine, just no hydration blend. It suits people using it as a desk-side or pre-gym pick-me-up rather than for long, sweaty sessions. If you train outdoors or for over an hour here, choose the Electrolytes version instead.
